Professor and Class,
The writer continues to be humbled at the beginning stages of each section of this course. The writer is hopeful that these last two sections will develop the flow and cohesion of the other assignments before the end of the week. Stringer & Aragon (2020) state that in the first stage of action research, the purpose of investigations is to extend and clarify participant understanding of the issue. The writer has focused on utilizing evidence from research studies and statistical information to validate the importance of this action research project. The writer has gained a greater understanding of trends, the use of mean scores to track occurrences when large groups are involved, and comparisons of different groups like the variances in impact of psychosocial therapies for persons ages 6-12 in contrast with persons aged 13-17. The writer will implement strategies to include focus groups, grand tour and mini questions, preliiminary interviews and guided conversations to motivate stakeholders to take ownership and actively participate. Grand tour questions, on the surface, appear to be the most beneficial because they allow participants to describe the situation in their own terms while encouraging the participant to allow researchers into every part of their life.

Throughout this unit this writer has been having a bit of trouble with their gathering analysis section. As has been established by our instructions as well as through Stringer and Aragon’s (2021) work, this writer has been using the epiphany model for their analysis. The struggles that this writer is having have been revolving around synthesizing data that does not truly exist. Attempting to hold a discussion surrounding data that we have not truly collected has proven to be a bit complicated for this writer. Any tips on creating this data would be greatly appreciated for this week.
Thus far, this writer has been enjoying the challenge of this unit. As stated earlier, this writer’s struggle with the data analysis has been challenging but also fulfilling throughout the process. This project has been a great experience and this writer is thoroughly enjoying the process.
