Order ID 53563633773 Type Essay Writer Level Masters Style APA Sources/References 4 Perfect Number of Pages to Order 5-10 Pages Description/Paper Instructions
PROMPT: What do the two books you’ve chosen reveal about the social forces that have shaped American history since 1950, in your educated opinion? Discuss how these social forces influenced the books’ deeper history (1950-2010) as well as connections to contemporary society in your response (2010-present). The books you choose will obviously dictate the course of your paper, despite the fact that this is a very open-ended paper. As a result, for your analysis, choose the two books that you found most intriguing or that work well together.
To write your paper, choose two of the three books we read during the second half of the semester.
The Law’s Color
Country of My Own
A Phenomenon of Prisons
For the final paper, brainstorm ideas.
What is your central argument for what these two books reveal about America since 1950?
What are the connections between these two books and contemporary American culture?
Which two outside sources have you found to back up your claim?
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The paper should be between 7-8 pages long.
The list of sources and the title page are not included in the page length.
One-inch margins, size 12 font, double-spaced
Grading
I’ll grade these papers with a higher degree of difficulty than the mid-term because you’ve already completed the mid-term and this prompt is being posted well ahead of the due date. I’ll be looking for stronger arguments (along with the evidence to back them up) as well as better editing presentation.
Sources from Outside
This paper, like the midterm, will require you to use outside sources to support your answer.
At least two outside sources should be provided that are not used in class lectures or weekly assignments.
Use the information and sources provided during the lecture or weekly assignments to the fullest extent possible. I simply want you to conduct some independent research in addition to what we discussed in class.
Peer-reviewed and/or rigorously edited sources should be used.
Other books, academic journals, reputable news sources, documentaries, museums, government reports, or non-governmental organization reports are examples of this (NGOs).
When you use information from a source, make sure to credit it.
Several of you provided a list of sources at the end of the mid-term paper, but did not do so in the text whenever using evidence from the source.
Professor Harris wrote on March 14 that you can either use parenthetical citation (Harris, March 2021) or mention the source within the main portion of the sentence. Notes in the form of footnotes or endnotes can also be used.
At the end of the paper, please provide a list of all your sources.
