Topic: Strategy AnalysisPaper details:
I have attached all the reports. I am using low-Cost leadership. This analysis is an individual assignment where you will analyze your own company in terms of its strategy and strategic position. The analysis should include the following: What strategy (including your mission) you have been using to guide the direction of your firm (e.g., cost leadership, differentiation, etc.).
I suggest you explain in relative detail the steps that you have taken to help pursue the strategy that you have selected. What are you doing well? Where is your company succeeding? (Do you have a competitive advantage, and if so, where?) What are you not doing so well? For those who are experiencing below average performance, this is where I expect you to be able to tell me why your company is not performing so well.
For those of you who are performing well, tell me what aspects of your organization you would like to improve upon. What are you going to continue to do as the game continues? How have your pre-simulation expectations lined up compared to what you are actually experiencing? How have your views of the simulation changed your understanding of how the various functional areas of a business work together?
How does your company measure up in terms of the marketing variables for a single region: NA, LA, EA, and AP. Those marketing variables include 10 measures (out of about 13) from the Wholesale Segment found in the Competitive Comparative Report (e.g., price, S/Q, advertising, etc.). You must provide graphs (NOT tables) comparing your company to the industry average in the region for all 10 marketing variable measures.
These graphs do not count against the page count. You can pick any of the 4 regions (NA, LA, EA, or AP) for each marketing variable. Compare all years that you have played. Do not copy and paste the questions and please answer the questions like an essay form (no bullet points). I suggest using graphs to support your analysis. For example, create graphs depicting increases in profitability that would coincide with plant improvements. In addition, make sure to use real numbers in your document. For example, do not tell me that you’re producing a high quality shoe that is relative to the industry you are in and as a statement means nothing.
Tell me that you are producing a high quality shoe of 6 stars or 8 stars and how that compares to the industry average. That would be the level of detail that I would like to see in some parts of your discussion. Again, remember this assignment covers the first few rounds of the simulation. Also, keep your analysis to minimum full 4 pages (double-spaced, not including cover page, graphs, or reference page, 12-fonts). Do NOT copy and paste graphs or tables from BSG. . No specific citation style is required but you do need to cite your references.
