1st question:
There are three branches to the American government. Many people point out that the legislative branch (Congress) was granted the most powers in the United States Constitution and was created to be the most accessible to the people. Furthermore, the Executive branch, led by the President, has grown in authority over the previous century, far exceeding the expectations of the founding fathers, according to many. Finally, in Marbury v. Madison, the judiciary established its own power. The Supreme Court was dubbed “the least hazardous branch” by Alexander Hamilton, and the courts are consistently rated as the most popular or trusted branch of government.
Consider the powers provided to each branch and how they have used or are using those abilities now. Make sure to provide examples for each branch.
Which branch do you consider to be the most powerful and influential?
Which branch do you think should have the most influence?
Explain your responses.
Your solutions should be 4-5 complete paragraphs (8-10 sentences each) lengthy and exhibit your comprehension of these ideas as well as your ability to critically assess the questions. Your response should be double-spaced, in 12 font, with 1 inch margins. You must use left justify or have your right side lined up with center justify, which results in uncomfortable space on the page and will result in a point deduction if this is not done.
