The state of NY is different in the fact that the state of New York and New York City have their own set of requirements. In NYC, there is to be a Fire and Life Safety (FLS) Director appointed (NYC, n.d). The FLS director must be present during normal business hours and if the director is out then there must be a deputy director appointed. In the event of a fire, a medical emergency, or another non-fire emergency in the building, the FLS director shall report to the fire command center or designated alternative location. Fire and emergency preparedness plans shall designate competent persons to act as fire and emergency preparedness (FEP) staff, including a person designated to serve as the FEP coordinator (NYC, n.d). An owner of such shall not be required to employ or otherwise retain staff solely for purposes of complying with the requirements. FEP staff will assign them the duties and responsibilities necessary to implement the fire and emergency preparedness plan and otherwise comply with the requirements. Drills and other forms of education shall be conducted to enhance the fire and non-fire emergency preparedness of building occupants, including building staff and employees of building tenants. Drills shall be scheduled in a manner that best assures the participation of regular building occupants. In NYS, the 2020 edition of the New York state fire code took effect on May 12 (Cuomo & Rosado, 2020)). New Yorks fire code establishes minimum fire safety requirements for new and existing buildings, facilities, storage, and processes. For Schools, Annual fire safety inspections may not commence earlier than 45 days prior to the annual due date. Moreover, the use of a fire extinguisher must be reported immediately when used in a public business (Cuomo & Rosado, 2020). As for fires, there must be access to an emergency phone in order to report fires immediately.

Discuss Amazon Inc goals compared to those within the industry. Are they partnering with others inside or outside the industry?

For the video game industry each company has very similar goals, regardless of the company. For Nintendo as well as competitor Sony are trying to acquire more customers as well as provide quality products to their consumers. The direction for the industry as a whole will be more focused on the significance of improving the environment. Sony has pledged to try and make products that are environmentally friendly to help the globe fight against global warming as the issue has become more and more apparent (www.sony.com). Much like Sony, Nintendo has announced that the company is also committed to trying to improve the environment. Then aside from Sonys environmental goals, the company has talked about teaming up with Microsoft, which is an inside the industry rival. Sony hopes that teaming up with Microsoft could potentially enhance customers experiences for the direct-to-consumer entertainment platforms and AI solutions (www.sony.com).
