Question Description
CAN YOU RESPOND IN 50-100 WORDS TO THIS STUDENT?Companies and start-ups require different types of financing at different stages of their business lifecycle to meet their operational demands and secure future income creation. Financing business expansion, purchasing equipment, and hiring more people are all examples of finance requirements at various times. Debt finance, or borrowing money from creditors to satisfy present demands, is one of the most common types of funding for businesses. The three basic forms of debt financing for a corporation purchasing a new building are discussed in this article.Taking out a loan from a bank or other financial institutionTo buy a new building, a corporation can borrow money from a bank. The firm borrows a principal amount from the bank, which must be repaid in full plus interest after a set period of time. Yetman (Yetman, 2014). Depending on the loan terms, recurring payments may be required. Bank borrowing may, once again, necessitate collateral, which in this case might be any of the company’s assets (vehicles, stock account receivables, or other properties), particularly if the loan is secured. Depending on the quantity borrowed, the atypical lending rate in bank borrowing ranges from 4 to 13 percent.Company Bonds are issued.Second, a corporation can generate funds to buy a new building by selling company bonds to the general public. These financial products differ from loans in that, unlike bank borrowing, the corporations set the interest rates on the amounts borrowed and the maturity date (Yetman, 2014). The issuing corporation is required to repay the entire principal amount plus interest on the maturity date specified. There is no need for collateral in bond financing because creditors rely their decisions on the company’s track record. The normal corporate bond lending rate is between 3 and 6%.Taking out a loan from a commercial finance organizationThese companies provide loans in the same way as banks do, with the exception that they charge higher interest rates on the principal borrowed. They also stressed the importance of the quality of a company’s assets used as collateral to get a loan (Yetman, 2014). The repayment terms, like those of banks, require that the borrowed amount be paid back plus interest by the end of the designated date.ReferenceR. J. Yetman, R. J. Yetman, R. J. Yetman (2014). Borrowing and debt are two terms that are often used interchangeably. 243-268 in Financing Nonprofits: Putting Theory into Practice.
