We attached an example of the work on Alibaba.
We would like you to go over these notes, it explains each part of the work. We added some useful
information. We also started a bit the assignment and we will attach it.We would like to highlight that not all the following points must be in the assignment, those are only to assess the work.
1. Industry & Market: Would be appreciated to notify in the assignment that Tesla business are in Car manufacturing and solar panel making – The main business is about cars. We want to focus on it.

4. Competition in all levels: On that part, we already built up an appendix on that point that is attached to our mail.
5. Calculate Customer lifetime value (CLV) for all customer types. We will join an explanation on CLV calculation and Tesla expenses on ads in the US in all the channel – Kantar Ads Spender.
6. Perceptual map and current position of Tesla – Presentation 6 (attached) explains how to do a perceptual map. It’s recommended to build a perceptual map with many dimensions (expected between 6 to 8 – even more if you feel the need). Attached an example of a perceptual map. When a perceptual map is built it’s highly advised to tell about the parity & differences points (everything is in Presentation 6)
7. Current brand elements, current strategy and prices, places and distribution channels. (We attached an article on the topic of price from HBSP & we also attached the course presentation on distribution channels)
8. Based on the above, you should formulate the main challenge / Problem of Tesla today? : We highly recommend you to bring your best insights on the topic for that part. We thought about future challenge to sale their cars as the industry is answering needs with very similar products. How will Tesla deal with that issue? (That’s only our thought, you can definitely change the problem as you feel more interesting and more important for you)
9. The solution to the problem. What’s the required targeting and positioning? How should the first work in terms of its product, brand, marketing communications, pricing, outlets and distribution channels ?(Important note : That’s is the main part of the work and we expect you to invest most of your time on answering the challenge. The points above are meant to build up a solution that answers the formulated challenge/problem.)please let me know if the zip is working. Thank you
if you have any questions, please feel free to ask at any time.
