As a leader, I need to identify the strengths and weaknesses of staff within the company. These criteria provide the basis to assess whether a work-group is a team or is on the road to becoming a team (Clawson, 2012, p. 266). After reading leadership, organizations have a life cycle. Some long while others are short term depending on the project. There are steps in place to help the operation of building performing teams such as; forming groups or organizations to correct department on skill-based.
Many skilled individuals are showing their ability in wrong task within the office. Norming, the job performance maintain focus on projects. The detailed orientated teams on troubled shooting. Performing job requirements to stay on the course of job orders. While allows production on correct order in a timely manner. Re-forming makes a monthly assessment to check for issues or difficulty.
The open-door policy will be a part of the office’s daily functions. Forth-coming will eliminate issues and allow opportunities for questions or concerns to address before the end of the day. The Bible told us of the story of Moses, how he led the Israelite’s into citizenship and order. It was led by the ultimate leader, and He allows rules, laws, and requests to made. Even though chaos took place and promise land was not fulfilled. By not following today’s policies and procedures, we will lose focus on the promises and goals set. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Any leader should be able to listen and care about the people who are followers and served

The most valuable information that can be taken from this course is the importance of leadership/management within organizations. It is so important to have effective leadership when leading people so the organization can be a success. Leaders are the important people who employees look to for direction and motivation. Great leaders know how to lead and are able to get people to follow. They have the vision and set the goals for their people. This course has helped me to realize that leaders really play a big role within organizations and they are the ones on the front line handling some of the things that management should be doing in my opinion. “What do people want from their leaders? Broadly speaking, they want help in achieving their goals” (Bateman et al., 2015, p. 406).
I believe in my professional career the knowledge from this course will help me to become an outstanding leader who listens, communicates well, and a positive influence. From a Christian perspective this course has taught me how being a servant leader is just as important and to be a good leader we must be willing to serve. It is not about getting recognition but making sure your team understands and is aware of their job function and leading them to success.
Helping them with the visions and meeting the goal of the organization instead of letting them fail. If you are able to have followers that trust you while leading then you have mastered the skills of effective leadership.
