3. On the “Create Source” screen which comes up, fill in the information requested for your source and click “OK”
4. When you create your source, a citation for that source is automatically created as well.
5. Every source you create for any paper you write becomes a part of your “Master List” in the “Manage Sources” tab.To create your Reference page, go to a blank document, center References at the top.
Then go to your “Reference” tool, click on “Manage Sources.” Look at your Master List, and copy, using the arrow, all the sources you want for your CURRENT document to the “Current List.” Use this feature if you have more sources than you want to use for your reference page. Then go back to your References tool, click on “Bibliography,” then go to the bottom of the screen and click on “Insert Bibliography.” Now all of the sources you complied and moved to your current list will appear in alphabetical order in APA format on your Reference page. (see sample Reference page below)
NOTE: anytime you begin a new document, you need to manage your sources in order for the bibliography to appear on your new document. To insert an in-text citation, go to the “Reference“ tool and click on “Insert Citation.” You will then see a list of all your citations from your sources. Position your cursor on your paper in the exact place you want the citation to appear, then click on the citation you want and it will automatically appear in the place you designate.
