Evidence of analysis and critical evaluation
An excellent attempt to incorporate a range of relevant theoretical insights as a means for addressing the issues raised by the question. Relevant theories are used to discuss the issues raised by the question. Some theoretical explanations have been described but many not have been fully applied or evaluated.
Theoretical insights are limited and need to be developed. Little or no evidence of engagement with theoretical explanations. The review is overly descriptive.
Understanding of the literature
Clear evidence of wide reading and a willingness to drawn on and effectively use a range of academic sources to construct a balanced, persuasive literature review.
Evidence of wider reading, beyond the course materials, and an ability to draw on this to construct a generally convincing literature review.
