Research Methods:
Choose a sociological situation that you would like to research. Some examples would be: How guests of different genders react at a wedding, how various employees respond to good/bad news from their employer, the length of time individuals of different ages spend on social media and / or the reasons why they use social media, students’ response to changes at their schools caused by a pandemic, the ways people of various ethnicities celebrate national holidays, etc.
Compare and contrast how each of the five Main Sociological Research Methods would support your research (you do not have to conduct the research itself). Include the benefits and limitations of each method as it relates to your specific subject. Note any particular advantages or disadvantages of one method over others (for example, if would be impossible to use the interview method with individuals who died on the Titanic).
