Thomas Reynolds is the corporate buyer for Express Car Rental automobiles that are put into operation. Tom has the option of purchasing many lots of vehicles from a downsizing rental firm. He’d like to obtain a better picture of the amount of rentals by car type across the country. Tom has received a worksheet with rental data from the previous year from the corporate accountant. Tom wants to use this simplified data, but believes that embedding charts will give the chief financial officer a faster and more visual review at their meeting next week.Perform the following steps:

To begin, open Excel. Open the e02ch04Express.xlsx spreadsheet. Replace LastFirst with your name and save the file as e02ch04Express LastFirst. 0 2 Create a 3-D Pie chart showing the number of annual rentals for the six automobile kinds using the cells A5:A10 and O5:O10 on the AnnualData worksheet. Reposition the chart such that the upper left corner of cell H12 is inside it. Change the title of the 3-D pie chart to Annual Rentals. Change the title’s font to Arial Black, 16 pt, bold. 8 4 On the pie chart, add data labels with only the category name and percentage. Place the label information on the chart’s outer edge. Change the labels’ font size to 8 and make them bold. The legend should be removed. By 20 percent, expand the slice of the graphic that shows the vehicle type with the lowest percentage of annual rentals. 12 5 Hover your mouse over the clustered column chart below the monthly data. Select Line as the chart type. 10 6 Include the months of July, August, and September in the data used in the line chart. On the x-axis, switch the row and column data so that the months of July to December are displayed. 9 7 Change the chart style to Style 6 and add primary major vertical gridlines to the line chart. Change the title of the chart to July to December Rentals by Auto Type. 9 8 On the AnnualData worksheet, create a 3-D Clustered Column chart for the Semi-Annual Total for all auto types using the fields A5:10 and H5:H10. The auto kinds should be the dominant horizontal axis. 15
9 Copy the 3-D column chart from the AnnualData worksheet to a chart sheet, renaming it SemiAnnualReport.
9
10 If necessary, label the chart with the title Semi-Annual Total. The title is bold. Set the chart’s 3-D Rotation to 30 degrees on the X axis and 20 degrees on the Y axis. To the chart, add Data Labels. Change the data labels’ size to 14 and then make them bold. 8 11 After the AnnualData worksheet, reposition the SemiAnnualReport worksheet. 5 12 In the AnnualData worksheet’s left footer column, type the File Name. 2
13 Make a backup of the worksheet. Exit Excel after closing the workbook. As requested, turn in the workbook. 100 total points 0 total points 0 total points 0 total points 0 total points1 YO Excel16 Ch04 PS2 v3 YO Excel16 Ch04 PS2 v3 YO Excel16 Ch04 PS2 v3 YO Excel16_
