You will be asked to reflect on different topics and write your thoughts and feelings as they relate to the questions asked. Do not forget you must also give a detail of your week during field.

Journal entries are opportunities for you to reflect and to give the learning a chance to emerge out of yourself. You will get out of these exercises what you put into it. Be present when you write – give yourself the time and space for reflective learning. Far too often, we do assignments just to get them done.
With journal writing, rushing through the assignment in order to meet the deadline is a wasted opportunity. Your time is valuable. Don’t waste it. Be honest. This journal is for YOU, not for me. Tell the absolute truth – YOUR absolute truth. Don’t worry about what you think I want to hear or what you think sounds good. Your grade will not be based on the degree to which I agree with you. Be you. Speak in your own voice, use your own words and write whatever comes to mind. Let your thoughts flow freely. Go deep. Learning comes in layers. Sometimes our most profound learning is behind our initial judgments and perceptions. Directions for Writing Journal Entries There will be 16 journal entries worth 3.13 points for a total of 50 possible points.
All journal entries must follow the guidelines below: Typed and written in paragraph form. You can type in the box directly or submit a word document. At least half page long to one page for a weekly journal entry. Please note that the box you type in gets bigger as you type. The size of the box is not an indication of how much you should write. You should answer each prompt fully, with at least one complete paragraph. Note that there is no limit to how long the journal entry can be – write until you are finished. Describe both your thoughts and feelings on the topic. Journal entries should include activities you are doing at your internship for the entire week. Journal entries are private between you and me. They are not seen or read by other faculty or peers. Week two: List your short term goals (within 1 year). Now state why you chose these as goals and what they will help you to accomplish.
