“Work is something you do to make money, this is done with good morals. Not everyone has a natural desire to work. Some people have a desire to make money without any moral standards. While some people put in long hours, talent and skill, others may choose to rob, steal and fraud other people for their money. There are many ways to work and many jobs are undervalued by society. The grocery workers who expose themselves to covid on a daily basis are undervalued, many make minimum wage. Other workers such as teachers are undervalued, parents don’t realize how hard they work. When a teacher calls off, they still have to make sure they have lesson plans for their students.
When a teacher goes on an extended leave, they still need to keep up with the pacing guide to make sure they plan for their substitute teacher to teach the children what they need. Some teachers still will do lesson plans, attend meetings and reach out to parents during their time off. Many hours go into planning a lesson and there are multiple lessons per class period. Teachers are responsible for teaching, tracking and giving a report on about 35-20 students at a time. Parents do not support teachers like they should as we have seen with distance learning, many children are falling behind in their school work. Teachers do not have the capability to sit with each student one on one so education suffers especially with the elementary generation. Society has placed a heavy burden on teachers to teach the next generation yet parents are not making sure assignments are turned in or that their children are prepared for class.
I feel that district attorneys are overvalued. They get paid a lot of money and they have a high status. The life of a person is put into a DA’s hands based on if they think they can win an argument the best. Sometimes, making a plea deal is a scare tactic just so the accused does not want to go to trial. Most of the time, a DA does not read the case file until right before the hearing and many case details are often overlooked. The DA’s briefly go over the case then make an offer for a plea deal. If the defendant does not take a plea, that is when they actually read the case file in full and try to argue the case in court.”
