As observed in Dr. Hejazi’s PhD thesis, describe how the Yetman and Rowe technique was utilized to explain whether the central bank was targeting inflation. Why is this technique useful in the formation of monetary policy? How can the approach tell whether or not inflation or output have been targeted? 3. Do you believe it is conceivable and prudent for the Bank of Canada to have a dual mandate of inflation and production targeting?
