This is a small research project which involves looking at a variety of news media coverage on a single political current event to evaluate the quality and reliability of the information presented.
Part 1: Find your articles- 20 points Select one news outlet from each of the five categories below.
Find a political story that is covered by each outlet on the same day and also covered by an organization in category 5.
(Hint: Category 5 will likely give coverage a few days later than the other articles.
Start in Cat. 5 to discover which story you want to do).
Link the articles you select at the start of the document you turn in.

Are there any facts that only appear in one story?
Which ones and how do you know?
How does that impact the reliability of the information?
Do the polls seem reliable, why/why not?
Which outlet seems the least reliable and why?
