Multidimensional Nursing Care For Optimal Health
Reflection (CP)
Paper details: Design relevant, multidimensional nursing care for optimal health inclusive of client preferences, values, and beliefs. Multidimensional nursing care for optimal health, including client preferences, values, and beliefs, was achieved throughout my Multidimensional nursing courses. Each course elaborated on client preferences, values, and beliefs differently. I completed this course competency by attending live lectures, weekly assignments, discussions, and reading the power points. Understanding my client’s culture, values, and beliefs will impact my career as a registered nurse. Select approaches to client care which incorporate care and comfort, risk reduction, health promotion, and disease management. This course competency has been achieved by utilizing ATI throughout my nursing program at Rasmussen University. It helped me by doing proctored exams and quizzes and reviewing the resources on the ATI website. ATI incorporates care and comfort, risk reduction, health promotion, and disease management. One example of new knowledge I gained from this competency is that ATI helps you prepare for the RN-NCLEX. It gives the probability of passing the RN-CLEX. This new knowledge will impact my nursing practice by allowing me to continue to utilize my resources to improve my knowledge. Prioritize evidence-based, client-centered nursing care as a foundation for emotional, mental, spiritual, and social well-being. Evidenced-based, client-center nursing care as a foundation for emotional, mental, spiritual, and social well-being has been achieved through the content of each course at Rasmussen University. I completed this course competency by writing discussions post with references to evidence-based journals explaining the different aspects of patient center nursing care. One new knowledge I have gained is that evidence-based nursing publishes summaries, and critical commentaries of international healthcare journals, explaining the most valid research in nursing (BMJ, 2022). Evidenced-based journals provide accurate information and will impact my nursing practice as an advocate for my clients. Utilize data-driven nursing care strategies inclusive of continuous quality improvement. Quality improvement and nursing care strategies were utilized throughout my courses. All my professors explained the meaning of quality improvement and indicated how to use nursing care strategies when taking exams. I achieved this competency by writing notes and reading my textbook. One knowledge that I gained and will use throughout my nursing practice is quality improvement improves the outcomes of clients in our healthcare systems. Synthesize components of clinical judgement, professional nursing identity, and reflective practice for lifelong learning. This course competency was achieved in Leadership and Capstone through readings, discussions, and written assignments. Both professors emphasize the importance of synthesizing clinical judgment and professional identity and reflecting on the practice of lifelong learning. One new knowledge that I gained is the importance of being a Professional identity is when a nurse reflects and internalizes the core of the nursing profession. Nurses engage in personal and professional development, gaining experience in healthcare while growing in the domain. Professional identity is developed in nursing school. In this case, it is embraced in the core values of nursing, interacting with collogues and clients (Pullen, 2021). Determine effective responses to clinical problems integrating information technology, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and interprofessional collaboration. Rasmussen University Nursing Program develops the importance of understanding effective responses to clinical problems, integrating information technology, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and interprofessional collaboration. I achieved this course competency through all classroom objectives, assignments, lectures, and exams. One new knowledge I gained is that as a nurse, whether you are an LPN or RN, it is within our scope of practice to be leaders and advocates for our clients. This will impact my nursing practice in so many ways in my nursing practice. Transferable Skills I have achieved transferable skills through critical thinking, teamwork, and understanding the professional identity of a registered nurse. As a Rasmussen student nurse, these items were taught in all my courses. One knowledge I gained from transferable skills is the importance of critical thinking in certain situations. Multidimensional simulations allowed leading and working as a team when providing care to the manikins on campus. Working as a team will help me in nursing practice. References BMJ. (2022).
