1 Teachers are like the seniors and students are like the freshman, teachers should help students gain knowledge as an elder friend.

1 In a welcoming environment, where curiosity is encouraged. Also when the student wants to learn and the teacher wants them to learn.

1 Desire to reach goals, motivation from other people

1 When a teacher and a student connect over the subject. A student who is not engaged will not learn.

Problems with the education system:
- Funding- state funding is provided to schools with the highest test scores, the school’s with the lower scores get less funding
- School districts are based off of money in given towns. People want to go to the schools with the most money, leaving the kids who go to the poorer schools with a lesser education.
- There is a barrier between kids who want to learn and those who don’t, and those who do not want to learn often get left behind in the classrooms and it hurts their education.
