• Daily log
• Activity journal
• Work portfolio
• Project completion reportThe PPE must be meaningful for both you and the host site. Each student is required to do a site-specific research project. For ideas, refer to “Examples of Projects for Students” on the PPE Guide. (attached) The PPE guide is not meant to be an exclusive list you must decide from; you are welcome to develop ideas on your own or discuss options with your site supervisor or your professor. The project will vary from site to site. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they possess the appropriate skills and technical ability to complete any required assignments/projects. Students are encouraged to “brush up” their skills in Excel, Word, and prior theoretical knowledge before HITT 2361. If appropriate, past instructional materials will be beneficial to the student in completing on-site assignments and the HIM PPE Project. The student should refer to the course syllabus for instruction regarding grade determination. Regardless of these requirements, students should complete deliverables as if holding a position within the facility. Therefore, all assignments must be professional in appearance and free from errors such as grammar and spelling. Exemplary projects and assignments may be used to inform the site of future needs and/or provide a resource.
The final HIM PPE Project is to be in APA format (7th edition) with a minimum of four scholarly sources. The word count is no less than 1750 words and no more than 2500 words, not including the title and reference page. The project must include three of the six HIM Curriculum Domains below.
