Description / paper instructions
Hello Writer, (last one) Master Improvement Plan – **Review the Week 7 online lecture example** Down below and develop a master kaizen or improvement plan for your process using the template provided (Link). The Week 7 online lecture will help you understand how to complete and use this tool for your improvement project. Focus on longer term milestones and tasks (beyond this class) needed to support the original goals and objectives you defined in Week 2. Additionally base your future milestones and tasks upon the various improvement tools examined in the Week 5 and 6 lessons that are used to eliminate waste as analyzed in Week 4. 3. Identify Lessons Learned – Include challenges and experiences while doing this assignment. Generalize what you learned for use in later process improvement projects. This template includes a box to enter this step at the bottom of each plan (tailor for each criterion). WASTE AUDIT
Analyze a Waste: Standardized Work Standardized Work is a process analysis tool for waste that involves the documentation of all methods, processes followed, materials and tools used, and the amount of processing time required to complete tasks. This process is usually to ensure that the operations at any given time go as planned (Andersen, 2007). Standardized Work will ensure that the process of improving the work output strategy keeps evolving. This approach makes also makes sure that there is no wastage of resources as the only planned resources get exploited. Besides, the process ensures that only the best practices get followed while striving to improve the scaling efforts of the organization. The method also provides that the abnormalities in the system get detected in time (Tapping, 2007). Use of standardized Work to ensure that waste gets minimized will save the employees the time wasted on guesswork. This is because standardized Work ensures that in the planning process, everything is accurate and up to date. Standardized Work also provides room for flexibility. In case a plan in motion doesn’t work, standardized Work provides for other eligible options to ensure efficiency. The standardization levels, however, have to be reasonable and achievable. Therefore, communication is crucial to ensure smooth coordination of events within the given process. Review Audit How The Review Was Completed I had to go back to the hospital and talk to the people involved in this process to get their reviews. Here is what they said: Marian: I am excited to be a part of all of this. Thank you for making the process simple for us Jaime: The pickup schedule you set for me matches my workout schedule. I am glad you helped me to save time while working Greg: Working with Lisa and Michelle to take care of pickups was a great idea. However, I request for more individuals to help with the 2PM pickups, which have proven stressful. Lisa: You have saved us a lot of time here at the hospital. Thank you for rolling out this schedule Michelle: Great Idea. I was asking if this will interfere with our previously arranged payment schedule Lessons Learned: It is essential to reduce the amount of waste produced in any process to improve efficiency. This change will have a significant impact onboth financial or human resources through the conservation of the available resources. There were no significant challenges encountered during this coursework. I have learned that waste is not just physical and this will help me in understanding waste better in my future assignments.
