Inequalities in health and global health goals
Baccalaureate education emphasizes globalization, diversity, and attention to vulnerable individuals (AACN, 2008).
This project will allow you to look into global health goals as well as health disparities among vulnerable groups. Begin by picking one of the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) established by the World Health Organization (WHO). Once you’ve decided on one of the MDGs, look up a specific outcome measurement (indicator) for a nation from the list below to see how far they’ve gone toward achieving it. You’ll also hunt for nursing jobs that will help you reach the MDGs.

Using the Virtual Library, search the CINAHL full text database for the phrase “health disparity.” At least two articles about health inequality in a vulnerable community or group of people should be chosen (gender or sexuality identity-based groups, children, elderly, disabled, ethnic, or cultural minority).
