My name is Latisha from Maryland. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in 2006 and after recently starting a new job, I decided to move forward and enter into this journey after many years of putting it off.
Desiring to expand my knowledge and understanding of the business world, put myself in the position for better career opportunities, develop management and soft skills and to stay up to date in this forever changing world we live in today. Hoping to accomplish all of this as I continue to move forward at my new job.
Leaders and motivators that I have had personal experiences with are ladies whom I consider to be 3 close friends. These women have shown me that anything you put your mind to you can accomplish. I have always feared that I cannot do it, and as time went on and years passed, it then became, at this point, I don’t need it.
Nevertheless, their encouraging words and motivation has helped me push past those fears and say Why Not. I just hope to pass along my personal experiences and journey along by sharing my story to help others overcome the same reservations and outlooks that I had and to show that it is never too late and it can be done.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Andrea Strother. I am a mother of two and a registered nurse. I graduated with my BSN in 2008 and have worked in a variety of healthcare settings since that time. My nursing experience spans from orthopedics, oncology, medical/surgical, psych, and home health care to name a few. Nursing has brought me great reward and much joy. I was not entirely sure that I made the right decision shortly after beginning my career, but I now know that nursing is my calling.
In 2019 I started to take an inventory my experience in healthcare and decided I wanted to step outside of the status quo. Since that time, I have been pursuing leadership roles in nursing to have some decision-making power about the processes and policies that affect the community that I serve.
I came to the conclusion that in order to transition into an executive leadership role I should explore advancing my education. I am currently enrolled as dual major student pursuing my MBA and MSN.
I live in Fort Wayne, IN. My current mentors are my father who has worked in the sales and marketing industry for longer than I have been alive and a local council woman who is incredibly resourceful and encouraging.
They both spend a great portion of their free time listening to my idea, giving me advice and allowing me to shadow their business events in my free time. They encouraged me to become more involved in my community and begin joining more boards.
In an effort to pass to encourage the success of others I often make time for informal conversations with those who are interested in advancing their skillset and education. The mentorship that I am receiving allows me to give insightful feedback to my cohorts who are not granted the opportunity to spend time in the offices of people like the ones who mentor me.
I typically try to offer unbiased advice that makes the most sense for them and their target market. Giving back to others through mentorship is a welcomed responsibility that I enjoy.
I look forward to learning more about the global business world and getting to know everyone.
