|Description / paper instructions
The original request was for 600 words. I only need questions 3 and 4 answered in 300 words. As 1 and 2 have previously been answered.
I requested a discussion board and got a paper. Apparently my files didn’t upload. Here is the paper and the instructions. For question 3 please used the slides in the photos on the last page. The theory i selected is Rule utilitarianism but our lecture only specifically covered utilitarianism. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.
Module 2: Discussion – Ethical Theories – Discussion Group 3
In order to facilitate a deeper understanding of the ethical theories, please do the following:
First, choose one of the below theories. I suggest choosing the theory that you find the most plausible based on the criteria Vaughan discusses on pages 47- 49:
Then, answer the following questions regarding your chosen ethical theory, and number your responses accordingly.
Mr. A needed a kidney transplant. Rather than waiting for a deceased donor kidney match to become available, his wife and two children agreed to be prospective donors, and underwent the appropriate evaluations including genetic testing. After the evaluations were completed, it was determined that the eldest son was the most compatible and thereby best suited to be the donor. The evaluation process, however, also revealed additional information. It revealed that the eldest son was not biologically related to Mr. A although through multiple interactions with Mr. A and his son, the doctor knew that they thought they were biologically related. What, if anything, should the doctor do before allowing the kidney transplant to proceed?
Please review the Discussion Grading Rubric for the grading criteria, and follow the Course Calendar for the relevant due dates.
Discussion Board Grading Rubric
For each graded forum, a student may earn up to 20 points, based on the following criteria, for her/his discussion contributions. At minimum, students are required to respond to the initial discussion prompt and to reply to two other students’ posts. Please keep in mind that posting more than 3 times may be an effective strategy to boost one’s score since an extra substantive post or two may help to offset any minor deficiencies.
*These two criteria are interchangeable in that they apply to either peer reply.
