Justice is concerned with making things right. Ethics, equality, human rights, religion, and solidarity are all foundations for the concept of justice. Rawls believes justice to be the first virtue of social institutions, according to Otried, ed. (2014: Section 1.2, para. 1) in an examination of John Rawls’ work. It is only similar in importance to “truth […] in systems of mind.” Juveniles have their own branch of justice that deals with concerns that are specific to kids who commit crimes.
