In this project, you will use data to investigate the educational experiences of different racial groups in the United States, focusing on the real-world example of race in college admissions. The American Sociological Association (ASA) filed a petition with the United States Supreme Court in response to a Michigan Law School case. The idea is for you to think critically about the empirical evidence and summary arguments while making your own conclusions regarding the college admissions process.
Following your reading of the ASA’s position on this issue, respond to the following:

Residential segregation, school segregation, economic disadvantages, stigma, and the significance of race-based life experiences to university admissions are all discussed as important arguments for ASA’s perspective.

The Assignment on Race and College Admissions:
