Elements of an Interim Peace AgreementFrom time to time, an analyst will suggest that the Mainland and Taiwan should seek to reach an interim peace agreement. This would not be a final peaceful resolution of the differences between the two sides but a meaningful step toward such a resolution. What are the objectives the two sides could reasonably set for such an interim agreement? What specific provisions should such an interim peace agreement contain?
