You are required to perform the following: Use a Twitter account* to register a developer app on https://apps.twitter.com, and select a hashtag to access data from for storage and analysis. A selected hashtag may be of interest to your current profession (for example #retail, #design or #digitalhealth).
Explain your selection and the expected outcomes. Perform historic data capture from the selected hashtag feed and store the data as a JSON file. Perform four data cleaning tasks on the JSON file to expose useful data, explaining the choice and benefits of each tasks. Perform the following data analysis tasks explaining the choice and benefits: Frequency of mentions of organisation(s) of your choice. Frequency of selected meaningful text term(s). Most used @ mentions. Perform analysis of streaming data from the selected hashtag feed (minimum of 10,000 real-time tweets), explaining the method and application of the following: A list of hashtags most used with your selected hashtag. Most occurring terms. Terms that may frequently occur together in the feed (bigram terms). Explain the Twitter API and evaluate its security provisions.
