Data Analysis of a Song Essay Paper
I’m working on a sociology test / quiz prep and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Students will complete a data analysis of a song (e.g., lyrics) and music video as part of your midterm examination that is related to 3-6 sociological concepts that we have discussed during lecture (culture, race/ethnicity, gender, social stratification, global inequality). Students have the option to select an appropriate song and music video to analyze on their own regard. For this portion of the midterm examination, students will analyze the lyrics of the song they selected and write a 1-page analysis of the song. In addition, students will analyze the music video of the corresponding song by delineating whether the song they analyzed correlates with the actual music video and will subsequently write an additional 1-page analysis of the music video. The analysis should be double-spaced.
