Description/Paper Instructions
Choreography, Performance, Costumes, Lighting, Music and Set
Write a critique articulating your honest thoughts and opinions on what you have seen on the stage. Your critique should be at least 2 full single-spaced pages and should touch on the topics of choreography, performance, costumes, lighting, music and set.
The critique will include a section on each piece of the concert. There are eight pieces in the concert and, therefore, you will have eight sections to your paper.
>>>Here is how to format the sections:
Title of the piece:
Choreographer:
[In this section, you will include your description, analysis and evaluation of what you as an audience member observed while watching each piece. Please refrain from using such phrases as, “I liked this piece. It was good.” Here are some examples of some questions you can refer back to as you describe each piece. Were the costumes appropriate for the theme of the piece? Did the set fit in well, or was it distracting? Was the lighting used in an effective manner? You could also touch on the story, if any, in a specific piece.]
Here are some notices you must use.
( The critique MUST be written in the third person. )

1- Title of the piece: Mozart’s Motivity

Notice For section two: the costumes were so weird and funny. The dancing was as a comedian play. The music was nice and the light fits with it. The dancers were acting like they are fighting while dancing.
3- Title of the piece: My Brother (1991)
Choreographer: Louis K
Notice For section three: there were only two boys. They were doing a lot of movements and repeating them again and again. They were like in a small room and they want to scape from it. The music was opera. The light did not fit with the music and the stage because it was two dark. The costume was fine.

Notice For section six: it was the best section. The effects were amazing. The customs were fantastic. All the audience liked this section, the most. The music was very slow. It was a fabulous dance. Everyone enjoyed it.
7- Title of the piece: Progress
Choreographer: Natalie B
Notice For section seven: there were a lot of running and movements. It was too noisy. The costumes were ugly. The only good thing was the lighting and the music.
8- Title of the piece: Harlem
Choreographer: Lauran C and Marriam L
Notice for Section eight: there were 3 boys and 3 girls at the bar. The dance was very old. The lighting was cool and fits with the music. The costumes also were old. Totally it was like an old movie.
