Discussion: Organizational Culture Instructions
Overview
Managers perform a vital role in influencing organizational culture. Organizational culture influences the interactions between individuals and groups in achieving organizational goals. It is important that managers be able to identify and implement success strategies to restore a dysfunctional culture to a functional one. In this assignment, students will recommend a strategy and an implementation method to transform a dysfunctional culture to a functional one.
Instructions
Your completed assignment must include a cover page, abstract, introduction, conclusion and reference section (which does not count towards the minimum word count). The content information or body of your paper (which is the information you include in your thread) must be pasted into the discussion board, and the entire main thread (include a cover page, abstract, introduction, conclusion and reference section) must be uploaded to the assignment link for grading without loss in formatting. Keep in mind that formatting is not always transferred accurately in the “cut and pasting” process but is normally transferred correctly during the uploading process. Do not use PDF files, or any other word processing application other than Microsoft Word for this assignment.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a severe breach of academic integrity and any reported incidence will be reviewed by our Liberty University Online (LUO) Associate Dean and result in disciplinary action. NOTE: Plagiarism is defined as submitting for credit the work of another as one’s own. Plagiarism includes directly copying a colleague’s work/assignments; copying the content found on a website, a textbook, or any other source without proper attribution to the author and their intellectual property. The best policy to follow when conducting academic research is to parenthetically cite all work that you create after first consulting outside research sources. Make sure that direct quotes are properly surrounded by quotation marks. For more information regarding plagiarism and how to properly cite your academic resources, please visit: www.plagiarism.org
Here are some basics—
Direct quotations of fewer than 40 words must be incorporated into the text and enclosed by double quotation marks (“ “). Cite the author’s name, year of publication, and page number (APA 7th ed., p. 292).
Direct quotes of 40 words or more must be blocked, indented, and double-spaced. Do not use quotation marks. Indent five to seven spaces or one-half inch from the left margin without the usual opening paragraph indent. If the quotation is more than one paragraph, indent the first line of second and additional paragraphs five to seven spaces, or one-half inch from the new margin. Cite the author’s name, year of publication, and page number (APA Seventh ed., 2009, p.171, 292).
When paraphrasing an author or describing an idea that influenced your work, you must credit the source with the name of the author and year of publication (APA Manual, Seventh ed., p. 170).
Similarity
It is important that you keep your similarity as low as possible after accounting for similarity on the title page, headings, and references. Basically, all other areas of your paper, which is your writing content, should not show any similarity which is noted by color coding in your document by Safe Assign. Achieving zero similarity in content is done by putting all words into your own words, including Bible verses. Use many citations and citation-based signal verbs to support your words. Strive to not use direct quotes.
