In your own words, briefly summarize the following “acts” of the biblical metanarrative. Use the course materials (lessons, textbooks, etc.) as guides. Be sure to highlight how each major act relates to Christian worldview.Act I: The God of Creation
Act II: Sin Enters the World
Act III: God Covenants with Israel
Act IV: Jesus and the New Covenant
Act V: The Fellowship of Believers
Part 2: Identification of the Source of Christian Ethics
The purpose of this portion of the assignment is to distinguish the key or definitive reference point of the Christian moral life. To complete this section, identify and describe the source of Christian ethics and support your answer. You can use any sources for support in your response, but you must at least include support from the biblical text.Part 3: Description of the Biblical Metanarrative’s Living Principles
The purpose of this portion of the assignment is to develop connections between the biblical metanarrative and the Christian principles that guide daily life. Describing the foundational, life-guiding Christian values that derive from the biblical metanarrative is one of the most difficult – and most important – steps you will take in this course. Some principles are provided, but you will also need to articulate (and support) your own.Three living principles are provided for the student. These three living principles derive from Chapter 8 in Goheen & Bartholomew’s Living at the Crossroads (see in particular pages 138-39). The student should provide an explanation and illustration of each of these three principles.
The student should also identify two additional living principles that she/he believes are comparably significant as the three provided. The student should explain and illustrate both of these additional living principles.
The final result should consist of five living principles of the biblical metanarrative:

Part 4: Workship Reflection
The purpose of this portion is to reflect on your experience in attending a university Workship Program as one example of integrating Christian values and biblical faith with the work that you do. For this section you should answer the following questions:What have you learned about servanthood through your Workship or community service experience?
How do you understand the relationship between servanthood and Christian values?
In what ways has your experience in Workship or community service prepared you for a lifestyle that incorporates volunteerism and community servanthood?
What role will volunteerism play in your lifestyle after your experience at your university?
What particular organizations or community roles interest you the most?
What should I write if I did not participate in the Workship Program?Students who are exempt from a university Workship requirement may instead reflect on community service involvement comparable to participation in the Workship program. Students reflecting on a comparable community service experience should address the same five questions identified above.
Part 5: Application of Living Principles
The final section invites the student to articulate how the Christian values and biblical faith developed in Parts 1-3 are expressed in the student’s personal life and vocation. This portion of the assignment should fully develop the following components:
Integration of Living Principles
This component should describe how you think each of the living principles developed above relates to and is best expressed within your vocation. How does someone with the skill-sets you earned at a university live out these principles?
Sources that inform your approach
This component should identify scriptures, texts/authors, concepts, or philosophies/philosophical schools that are foundational to your values and view of the world. Explain why these sources are significant and how they shape your thinking.
