Due Date: Wednesday the Last Week of Class by 11:59 p.m.
The goal of this course is to understand the major theories of ethics, the philosophical concepts and apply them to contemporary issues. In the final project for this course, you will tackle a contemporary problem and develop a plan to fix it.
Throughout this process, you should consider how each theory would impact how people view the problem you have decided to tackle and how it can be applied to your issue. While you should use outside sources to bolster and analyze the problem you have chosen, you should also provide your own analysis and critique using the theories we have discussed.
Projects should address a contemporary need or issues. Ideas may be; Go Green- develop a bike program in your city, start a letter writing campaign on an issue of your choosing to your legislators, starting a program at a local nursing home to target our negative mentality toward aging, or addressing a specific mental health issue. It should be your program and deal with something your passionate about or interested in.
Requirements:
Your project should be 7-9 pages in length. (The title page and references page are do not count toward the page requirement). Your project should be double-spaced with one inch margins. Use Times New Roman, 12-point font. Be sure to include page numbers.
Provide appropriate citations for all sources in APA format. Citations should be included throughout the text as well as in a list at the end of the paper. Please use APA citation format, and attach a References page to your report, which should also be in APA format. Please be sure to follow proper citation format. Refer to the Purdue Online Writing Lab for more assistance with APA Citation at: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/.
APA formatting would include an APA title page, running header on each page which is the title of the paper i.e. The Life and Times of John Smith as well as indicated above appropriate format for references. If you insert tables or graphs make sure the titles to these inserts have appropriate APA titles.
