The patients’ flow is an important issue that must be carefully analyzed and controlled to ensure the possibility to provide effective care. Morais Oliveira et al. (2018) present a comparative retrospective cohort study addressing the issue of overcrowding in the emergency rooms. The purpose of the chosen observational study was to analyze and evaluate the work of a patient-flow physician coordinator.
