Analysis of Organizations that Develop Standards
Examine the websites of three standards development organizations (SDOs) and create a three-page tabular handout that summarizes each organization’s purpose, standards, data type involved, and other information. Make a one-page handout outlining the most important lessons learned about SDOs.
INTRODUCTION To be valuable, data must be collected, measured, evaluated, and published. It has to be classified and characterized (structured). Data points are frequently established. When collecting and retrieving data from electronic health systems, the necessity to establish data points is especially common. Guidelines are developed by standards development organizations (SDOs) to help standardize the usage of various healthcare data points. You will demonstrate your understanding of data standards used in health care and your ability to categorize data using data classification standards in this evaluation.
