Evaluation of a Healthcare Program/Policy (assignment)
Assessment of programs and policies, as well as the consequences for the people they serve, is an important tool. Through program/policy assessment, basic questions about program/policy efficacy are answered. It comprises acquiring and analyzing data on a program’s or policy’s actions, characteristics, and outcomes. This information can be used in the future to improve program services or policy actions.
Nurses are important in reviewing program/policy assessments for the same reasons they are important in designing programs/policy. Nurses bring a wealth of knowledge and patient advocacy to the table, which may be extremely valuable and effective. You will apply your knowledge and expertise by reviewing a current healthcare program or policy and reflecting on the criteria used to evaluate the program’s performance in this assignment.
