MKT 257 Social Media for Organizations Essay
MKT 257, Social, Media, Organizations, Essay
First of all, I just want to remark that for creating the required blog posts for activities #1 and #3, you’ll simply use my already existing website, which login information I’ll share with the tutor that helps me out on these activities. The app that was used to create this website is WordPress (so it would be really nice if you’re already familiar with it).
Basically, you’ll simply google ‘wordpress.com’ and then you’ll log in with my login info so that you can be able to access my website and create the blog posts. With that being said, let’s get started with the 3 easy activities that you’ll be working on:
- Crisis Communication Blog
Description:
Topic: crisis communication
Given the situation, how would you respond? What did you learn from the activity?
Note: please note that all the exact instructions/steps you need, are into the ‘crisis communication (which is basically activity #1 (or in other words, this one)) + social media software (which is basically activity #3)’ file, that i am attaching below.
Grading is as follows:
1 point (or 0 points)
2 points
3 points
4 points
Writing: is the content free of grammatical and/or spelling errors?
The content has multiple errors that negatively impact the credibility significantly.
Note: more than 5 writing errors result in automatic failure. Misspelling a company name or product counts as two errors.
The content has enough errors (2-3) that would cause readers some concern.
The content has one error that readers might bypass as a simple typing error.
The content has no errors.
Formatting/graphics: the content looks professional.
The content does not look professional and is difficult to read through. The graphics are not created by the student and/or borrowed from another source without a citation.
The content is formatted in an easy-to-read way, but graphics are difficult to read, don’t match the content, or are not quality.
Both formatting and graphics are appropriate and make the blog post more engaging to the reader.
The formatting and the graphics help the blog stand out.
Credibility
The content does not lead the reader to believe that the author has researched the topic through lack of links, lack of quality information, or lack of depth.
Note: if the blog is void of all original thought, it will not receive a passing grade. Plagiarism will result in a zero on the assignment.
Readers believe that the author has researched the topic a little bit, but a lack of depth and quality original thought hold the content back from being better. A minimum of 2 sources are hyperlinked.
The author has done a nice job showing their knowledge on the topic, cited sources through hyperlinks, and provided ample depth.
The content could be used by others due to the extensive original thought, sources utilized, and the specific depth of the topic.
Topic covered
The content of the blog does not address the topic assigned.
The content of the blog touches on the topic assigned.
The content of the blog covers the requirements of the assignment.
The content of the blog is fantastic and specific to the topic assigned.
- Motivation assignment
Description:
Watch the following videos:
If video does not play, access here.
Answer the following questions (2-4 sentences per question):
- Briefly summarize what you learned from each of the videos.
- What similarities did you find between the two?
- What differences are there between the the mcgregor & doshi study and pink’s research?
- How do you reconcile the two? Are both true? Why or why not?
- Social media software blog
Description:
Topic: social media software
Congratulations! You’re now in charge of the social media team at a company of your choice (note: this company must be a locally-owned company and must be located somewhere in the united states. Even better if it can be one from fremont, nebraska, as that is the exact city where my university is located).
Your first course of action is to compare and select any software that your team might need in order to be successful at their jobs. Software to consider might be design, scheduling, analytics, and listening…just to name a few areas. Justify your choices (and expenses) with research.
Note: please note that all the exact instructions/steps you need, are into the ‘crisis communication (which is basically activity #1) + social media software (which is basically activity #3 (or in other words, this one))’ file, that i am attaching below.
