The purpose of this assignment is to explore your personal beliefs about teaching and learning and determine how your philosophy aligns with the five major educational philosophies of education. Your analysis and overall findings from this assignment will shape your approach to designing curriculum, preparing daily lessons, and your delivery of instruction. When seeking teaching positions, it is essential to know be mindful of the alignment between your personal philosophy of education and the philosophy of the school and school district for which you are applying.
Your personal philosophy of education is expected to evolve throughout the semester and teaching career. This assignment will help you begin writing your formal personal philosophy of education which will be submitted as part of the culminating project for this course.
This assignment requires multiple steps, some of the steps will be completed during our class meeting. Some steps will require you to work independently.
