There are two Discussion Boards and a Reflection Discussion to complete, for a total of three things that must be completely answered. Must be in APA format, answer completely, have at least 1-2 verifiable reputable references per discussion post 1 and reflection discussion, and have in-text citations in both discussions. 250+ words are required for discussions 1 and 2, and 500 words are required for reflection after thoroughly addressing the questions. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 10 p.m. EST is the deadline. Plagiarism is not tolerated.
1st Discussion
Consider what leadership skills you need to cultivate to be effective in public safety administration after analyzing this week’s reading.
#2 Deliberation
This is more of a chance for you to give me input on what we’ve covered throughout our time together than it is a discussion.
I’d like you to take a few minutes to go over the conversation topics from the previous seven weeks and tell me which ones you think were the most essential.
Next, tell me if there are any other topics that you wish we had covered in class and that you think should be highlighted in future courses.
Finally, let me know if there is anything you would change about the conversations or the way the class is run in the future.
Feel free to use this time to brush up on your knowledge of the topics addressed and to ask questions or make comments about what we’ve talked about.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
Reflection on Program Outcomes
Assignment
The Program Outcome Reflections project required you to reflect on each of the five Public Safety Administration Program Outcomes, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the concept(s) and demonstrating how the PSAD curriculum provided you with the knowledge and skills (process or application of knowledge) to master the outcome. For this assignment, please provide a 500-word summary of your remarks. Include any curriculum recommendations or outstanding difficulties you have with the program.

Conclusion of the Module
We looked at current topics and how to spot problems or hurdles in this course. We then proceeded to analyze problems or concerns, generate recommendations, execute improvements, and review the modifications to ensure they were effective. As you finish this class, go over the appendices one more. What do you observe in the case studies that you didn’t notice before?
Remember that the public, private, and corporate sectors all have visionary leaders. You can learn from them as you prepare to take on the next challenge for your government agency. What challenges might we face in the future?
Here are a few articles that discuss some upcoming challenges.
Harry Carter, a well-known public-sector author, writes about “What Does the Future of the Fire Service Hold?”
“Predictive Policing: The Future of Law Enforcement?” examines public safety from the standpoint of police officers.
Issues, difficulties, and potential solutions in the field of homeland security have and will continue to be fascinating. “What Security Threats Does the Future Hold and What Can We Do Now to Protect Ourselves from Them?” is a video that looks at the future of homeland security.
The author of “The Future of Homeland Security: Evolving and Emerging Threats” takes a different approach.
You should reflect on what you’ve learned not just in this course, but in all of your classes as you conclude your project and this capstone class. You and your public safety agency or other business will benefit from the knowledge. You’ve gone over topics like:
Functions of management, concepts, methods, difficulties, politics, and risk
Customer service awareness, quality control technique, integrated public services, best practices, and public-private partnerships are all examples of hazards and risks.
Strategic plans, budgeting, resource allocation, operational plans, hazard mitigation plans, emergency operation plans, incident action plans, and implementation, as well as positive and negative forces
The legal and political environment; workplace administrative laws and regulations; public policy; liability; and risk mitigation are all topics covered by the federal, state, and local legal systems.
Scientific research, research technique, technology, assessment, and the application of research and technology in public safety administration are all topics that are covered in this course.
Ethics’ beginnings and evolution, ethical issues in public safety administration, ethical behavior, codes of conduct and ethics, personal ethics statements, corporate culture, and political influences are all discussed.
Leadership, theories and styles of leadership, leadership duties, leadership performance, individual leadership skills and plans, effective leadership, and future trends are all discussed.
You can use this material in your homeland security, fire science, and emergency management classes.
Courses in effective writing abilities, as well as any other mandatory or elective courses you’ve taken, will help you complete a well-rounded undergraduate degree.
Finally, we looked at how to integrate leadership, administration, and management concepts and apply them to current public safety challenges in your capstone course.
You’ve gathered a substantial amount of data. As you go on to your next project, keep this in mind.
“We always look for the quick fix: a single modification that will solve a problem in one fell swoop. However, just a few things in life function this way. Instead, success necessitates taking a hundred modest moves in the correct direction, one after the other, with no blunders or errors, and everyone contributing in.”
