Introduction
Many people at some point of their lives have to deal with the issue of bullying. This tends to be an issue that no one can run from. Bullying can come in many forms, weather it is kids being teased at school, or adults being singled out at work. Although bullying is never ok to do, many people who are bullies tend to be past or current victims of bullying themselves. This cycle continues, and more people becomes victims which has negative general effects. The act of bullying stems from aggression. Bullying should be stopped so that people can feel safe in their environments. Comment by Pamela Humphrey: How do you know? Comment by Pamela Humphrey: This is the same as the paragraph above and does not need to be repeated.
The topic of bullying is an overly sensitive topic. Bullies are often looked at as the bad guys when in fact, bullying steams from built up aggression. The description of bullying is clear. Being a bully is making rude remarks, physically harming others, name calling, threats, cornering others, ostracizing others, embarrassing others, being intentionally mean, being physically and verbally aggressive etc. Many may wonder what makes a human being act towards someone in this manner. Well people hurt others for many reasons. Aggression is the main cause of bullying. Aggression comes in many forms. So, there are many types of forms of aggression that people display (Wrangham, 2018). For this reason, some think that aggression is both built, and biologically placed. For example, if someone steps on another person pinky toe, that individual is going to automatically react. The reason why this person reacts is because of the response to being hurt. This is called reactive aggression (Wrangham, 2018). Reactive aggression is the type of aggression that is impulsive and happens out of emotions. Everyone whether they want it or not, has this type of aggression. This type of aggression comes naturally (Wrangham, 2018). Studies also show that aggression can also be because of cultural influences. As people, we tend to conform to our environment. This will differ from different groups, and places where people live. Another type of aggression is proactive aggression (Wrangham, 2018). This is when someone goes out of the way to intentionally harm someone for no reason at all. So why do we hurt others? The act of aggression stems from anger. Many things cause anger within people (Wrangham, 2018). This can be because of the feeling of being threatened, or frightened. It also can be because of someone treating an individual poorly, or the individual feeling disrespected. It also can stem from a person’s background. As mentioned earlier, people tend to conform to their environments. If people are bought up in a hostile environment, then they tend to become hostile, and it eventually turns into a personality trait (Wrangham, 2018). Comment by Pamela Humphrey: stems Comment by Pamela Humphrey: what is your reference for this? Any time you make a statement of fact, you need a citation. Comment by Pamela Humphrey: What people wonder is irrelevant; you say this if a few places and it should be removed. Comment by Pamela Humphrey: This is repeated from above. Comment by Pamela Humphrey: I don’t see this in the reference list.
Although it is known that bullying is bad behavior, many do not consider the affects that it has on the victims (Navigation 245). Bullying has a huge negative psychological effect on victims. This in fact can cause them to internalize anger and become bullies themselves. According to studies, when individuals experience bullying, they tend to also become aggressive (Navigation 246). They start to become ashamed and without even knowing it, they start to take it out on others. This gives them a temporary sense of empowerment, when in fact they are just treating someone else horrible. Also, sometimes physical effects happen such ass weight loss, sleep disturbance, illness, headaches etc. This behavior can also result in violent responses from victims (Navigation 247). Organization Relevant to the Topic

This organization gathers information from several government agencies to educate on what bullying is, who is at risk of being bullied, and how to respond to the act of being bullied. This organization will help identify solutions that can help develop training and develop policies that will mitigate bullying.
On the organization’s website, there are links provided to educate the community on state laws/policies, trainings, and what adults/kids can do. The website goes into detail about statistical data such as the act of bullying in schools, and at the workplace. The site also provides research data on cyber bullying, and how the act of bullying can eventually turn into violent crimes if continued. Although the organization in general can be beneficial to this research, the resources provided about the different trainings can be the most help. The training resources that the website provides several strategies on different training materials to help train and educate any audience on what bullying is. This includes power point slides, and handouts that every professional can benefit from. These are tools provided to help teach and train preventive measures against bullying.
What is unique about this organization is that it not only aims to educate professionals, but also aims to educate victims. On the website there is plenty advice to those who are being bullied. This advice will help victims recognized when they are being bullied and help them to build resilience. All of this will be helpful for the recommendations that will be made during this research study.
Literature Review
So, in the literature review, am I just elaborating about all the sources that I found? Yes, that’s correct, but it should be what the reference says about bullying, not the entire article. Am I expected to find a theory that goes along with my problem statement/issue? Yes You could look at personality theories, developmental psych or personality.
Recommendations
One way that this organization can benefit is to actually include resources on anger management.
Another way that this organization could benefit is to educate on where anger stems from. I will elaborate on each point in final Comment by Pamela Humphrey: Isn’t this part of anger management?
