Finding my key to happiness in the public safety area requires the leadership abilities I need to be successful. Having a positive attitude in the workplace and pushing others to achieve their goals. Doing what you enjoy will take you down a successful path and towards a prosperous future. Find a job that requires you to be at work even earlier than you are needed to. You can also pass on your leadership talents to others. Set high and optimistic expectations for yourself; if you aim for a greater objective, you’ll most likely exceed the ones you set in the first place. Don’t be selfish; feel free to share your reasons with others who aren’t as motivated as you are in the same industry. Make them feel as if they were welcomed into your home with gracious hospitality. Don’t just pat yourself on the back when you look in the mirror. Look out the window and thank your teammates for assisting you on your adventure. Have the right team to inspire you to think like a CEO or executive. Consider all of your staff as CEOs, including the janitor at your workplace. “Try not to become a man of success, but rather a man of value,” Albert Einstein said of becoming a motivator for your employees/coworkers. Instead of just you, spread your expertise, celebrate with your team, and declare, “We did it.” Others will depart or withdraw themselves from you if you only think about yourself. Don’t be the ball-hog who scores all the points but leaves no assists on the board. One day, you’ll be able to look back and say, “I had the best teammates around me, and I couldn’t have done it without them.” Thank you for allowing me to share my successful leadership goals with you all.

Leadership qualities must be cultivated in order to be effective in public safety administration. I want to advance in my work as a firefighter in the near future. Some of the most significant leadership traits I believe are necessary for becoming a great fire station public safety administrator include: (The Military Leader, 2017).
Know who you are and strive to develop yourself.
Make a name for yourself as an expert in your field. Have tactical knowledge, experience, and proficiency.
Make accurate and timely decisions.
Know who your subordinates are and keep an eye on them.
Set a good example.
Make straightforward communication a priority.
Have a passion for what you do, and motivate and educate your workers. Teamwork is essential when it comes to training.
Instill a sense of accountability in your team.
In order to become a public safety administrator, certain leadership abilities must be developed, especially when working in an operations capacity. These leadership abilities will guarantee that activities run smoothly, that safety and proficiency are maintained, and that the leader and subordinates have a strong working relationship.

I’d like you to take a few minutes to go over the conversation topics from the previous seven weeks and tell me which ones you think were the most essential.
Finding out how to identify and involve all stakeholders when looking at a problem/issue or action item has been fascinating to me while I completed my degree. When making a choice, many people do not consider the stakeholders that may be affected or involved.
Week three’s communication strategy is a critical component that I believe is often underestimated or overlooked. It is much easier to connect with all members of your organization as well as those outside your organization thanks to technology advancements and technologies now in use. This necessitates keeping communication brief and targeted so that the recipient is not overburdened with material that may or may not be relevant to their position or status.
Next, tell me if there are any other topics that you wish we had covered in class and that you think should be highlighted in future courses.
I don’t believe there were any other topics we might have discussed. Everything that needs to be addressed is, especially since this is an 8-week session.
Finally, let me know if there is anything you would change about the conversations or the way the class is run in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed this capstone course. I appreciate the timely feedback for the projects and discussion articles. Work was graded in a timely manner and was relevant and related to my current profession in public safety.
The most crucial conversations were identifying the three most significant challenges, comprehending wicked problems, obvious solutions not acceptable, and power point presentations.
I think the most important themes were covered. The only issue I had in the class were some problems accessing the course content, yet overall I feel that this course aided me with the understanding of how a problem is discovered and studied, and solutions are executed. I was able to choose a topic for the final project that I knew very little about before the beginning of semester. I had no clue that cyber crime was such a significant issue in public safety agencies, and in society in general. I appreciated learning about something new and how it applies to public safety groups. Thank you for a terrific class!
