In recent years, the market for young people’s food has grown significantly. As a result, children have evolved into high-potential customers who are now the target of intense and targeted marketing and advertising campaigns.
Children and adolescents have evolved into desirable consumers and influencers, with a growing influence over their families’ purchasing decisions. Children are a valuable target audience for marketers because they have purchasing power, have the ability to influence their parents’ purchasing decisions, and are the consumers of the future. Advertisers have a strong desire to seduce them from a young age. Companies use a combination of different approaches and channels to ensure that young people are attracted, such as television advertising, contests and games, toys, popular characters, the use of various attractive colors, school marketing, Internet and branded products, and so on.
Food and beverage products aimed at children have grown in popularity, and these products are dominated by foods that are high in calories, sugars, salt, fat, and nutrients, and thus do not comply with national dietary guidelines.
Mr. Fahmy already has a food business and wants to start a new subsidiary that specializes in natural and organic children’s products. The goal is to serve nutritious, healthy food made with healthier ingredients.
