For each video, students must write a 800-1000 word reflective essay describing the event and summarizing what you learned. Staple the report and include your name on the front page. The style and content can be personal and reflective in nature, but here are some helpful pointers:
Provide a concise and well-organized summary of the video highlighting especially the parts that stood out to you.
Address issues such as the following: How did this event affect you personally? What was intriguing or challenging to you? What made sense to you and what didn’t? What new information did you learn? How did the content connect to class discussions or readings?
A rubric using the following general parameters will be used for grading the project reports:
25%: Required Elements (Is the report the assigned length? Does it contain required elements and details?)
25%: Quality of Writing (How well does the report reflect good grammar, syntax, spelling, sentence and paragraph organization?)
50%: Quality of Content (Are the thoughts clear and original? Do they reflect project goals and requirements? Are opinions presented in fair and respectful ways?)
