Explain palliative care and how it differs from hospice care. What distinguishes it from the care provided by most acute care hospitals?
Do you want to talk about hospice care? What distinguishes it from the care provided by most acute care hospitals? Determine what a hospice program’s main functions are.
In hospice programs, talk about issues that affect the family as a unit of care. How do hospices try to improve the quality of life for each of their “patients”? How does the concept of an interdisciplinary hospice team help with this?
