Instructions
The purpose of this assignment is to persuade your organization’s Board of Directors (or similar group) to accept your diagnosis of the problem and recommendation for a solution to the problem. The Persuasive Presentation Outline serves as your guide. This assignment builds on the Recommendation Memo. Your audience is your organization’s Board of Directors.
Requirements
Introduction
The introduction to your presentation must include a professional greeting, attention/need step to gain the attention of your audience, clear statement of the recommendation and the purpose of the presentation, and a preview of your major topics. Use the introduction to set the context of your speech.
Body of the Presentation
The body of the presentation must include major headings, sub –points, and supporting points. The body of the presentation must include:
- Recommendation
- Brief Preview of the Reasons
- Discussion of the Reasons Supporting the Recommendation
- Counterargument and Rebuttal
Conclusion
The conclusion of the presentation must restate the recommendation, summarize your major points, and leave the audience with a persuasive message designed to elicit agreement.
Additionally, your speech must be four to five minutes. Remember to offer contact information for questions from your audience since this would be a normal business practice. Also, remember to check the rubric for grading elements and descriptions.
Finally, your presentation must be completed using Knovio. You may open a free account at www.knovio.com . This software allows you upload your slides so that they are viewable simultaneous to your presentation. Additionally, you can practice unlimitedly with Knovio. Once you are satisfied with your presentation, save it on video.
