In your final paper, you should identify and analyze a community-identified need.
You will be required to think on your future as a human services professional as part of your summative evaluation. You must comprehensively address the following in your paper:
Examine the decision you made in Week 1 about your professional path.
What populations do you wish to serve and in what capacity?
What kind of company do you want to work for in the future (or now, if you plan to stay with your current company as you advance)?
Examine the history, present, and future societal concerns that the human services profession faces with the population and organization of your choice.
Examine at least one historical problem that is relevant to your population.
What are the current issues that your clients may be facing, and how can this affect your organization and your work?
What societal issues might your clients and business encounter in the future?
Consider how you might carry out your responsibilities in this profession.
What kind of supervision do you think you’ll get?
What kind of professional relationships do you have with your coworkers?
How will you maintain appropriate boundaries with clients?
What other services does your company provide, and how do these services intersect with your own?
Evaluate the impact of the community on your clients and organization.
How will you work with your clients in the community to serve them?
In terms of the people you’ve decided to serve, how do you think you’ll have an impact on global needs?
Compare and contrast the human services organization where you currently work or may work with a similar human services organization serving the same population.
Outline the similarities and differences, determining which model of a human services agency is more effective.
Final paper on “My Future as a Human Services Professional”
Must be six to eight double-spaced pages in length (excluding title and references pages) and formatted in APA Style as stated in the Writing Center’s APA Style guide (Links to an external site.)
A separate title page must be included with the following information:
Title of the paper (bold and with a space between the title and the rest of the information)
The name of the student is followed by the name of the institution (University of Arizona Global Campus).
Name and number of the course
Name of the instructor
Date of submission
