This assignment involves students to write an individual report examining the performance and operations of a firm listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in a specific sector. The purpose of this assignment is to assess students’ knowledge and comprehension of essential accounting and corporate finance concepts, ideas, and tools that can be used to analyze organizations critically. It will also evaluate your ability to deliver non-financial data.
Required:
As part of the interview process for your first appointment as a Finance Director of a company listed on AIM (the Alternative Investment Market for small companies) within the London Stock Exchange, you have been asked to write a report to the board of directors of one of the selected companies below (LSE). The board of directors has requested that you create a report on your company’s vision and strategic financial goals.
The companies are listed on the AIM in a certain sector. Assume that your chosen company aspires to join the FTSE 100 (the UK’s largest publicly traded corporations) in the near future.
Guide:
Introduce the company, talk about the product or services, the location, the turnover, the number of employees, and so forth. The report should be no more than 2,000 words long (+/- 10%). Remember that in order to be considered for the crucial position of Finance Director, you must make an impact on the board of directors.
This assignment is designed to assess your knowledge and understanding of essential accounting and corporate governance ideas, theories, and tools, as well as your ability to present data in a clear and simple manner.
Additional Instructions
Introduce the company, detail the product or services, the location, the turnover, the number of employees, and the sector’s significance to the UK economy. To analyze, you must compare the financial data / ratios of your chosen company to either a competitor in the same industry or the industry average.
The application of theories such as SWOT or PESTEL to explain some of the challenges that your company may face is a part of analysis. The report should be no more than 2,500 words long.
Remember that in order to be considered for the crucial position of Finance Director, you must make an impact on the board of directors.

Analyze your chosen company’s performance using important financial and non-financial ratios (5 years). Profit ratios, efficiency, liquidity, and other pertinent statistics should all be included in your research.Section B contains 500 words.
Examine the company’s corporate governance compliance and its impact on the company’s brand and reputation as reported in the media (print, online and social media)Discuss the planned medium-term financial strategy for your chosen company to become a FTSE100 company or to become the industry / sector’s dominating player.

Word Count Limits
This assignment has a word limit of 2000 words (+/- 10%).If a contribution exceeds the word limit by more than 10%, it will only be marked up to and including the excess 10%. Anything above this will be excluded from the assessment item’s final grade. The word limit does not apply to abstracts, bibliographies, reference lists, appendices, or footnotes.
When a submission falls significantly short of the word limit, the entire submission will be graded on how well the assessment brief’s requirements were completed.
