INTRODUCTION (at least 500 words)
The introduction sets the scene of your prospectus and provides your topic, research question(s), and significance. Consider the following components and questions as your write this section:
Topic: What will you study? (I will study…)
I will study on how (arts) non-profit organizations in C-ID area boost regional community building? Whether such a system and mode of operation is applicable to Shanghai, China? To analyze after I back to my hometown, what I can contribute to the community building and help the development of human civilization in my hometown. How to promote social justice and how to awake the public’s awareness.
Research Question(s): What are your central research questions? What do you want to find out? (I will study…, because I want to find out how/why…)
My research question is How (arts) non-profit organizations in C-ID area boost a regional community building and how to I’d love to know if the system and mode of operation can be applied to Shanghai and how?
Significance: Why is this topic and method of investigation important? What problem does it address? What is its significance? (I will study…, because I want to find about how/why …, in order to help readers understand whether C…)
Last quarter, I picked the Wing Luke Museum that located in the C-ID area as my topic of the case study which inspired me a lot. That is a Museum that aims to connect everyone to the dynamic history, cultures, and art of Asian Pacific Americans through vivid storytelling and inspiring experiences to advance racial and social equity. There is a significant problem: exclusion. Some of the local native residents discriminate against people from small cities. So, when I found out that the Wing Luke Museum aims to push social fairness and justice by telling people stories, I sprouted to think about how to set up a museum like this in my hometown to record the hard work and contributions that outsiders have experienced. I want to analyze why and what causes the Wing Luke Museum’s success in helping community building in the C-ID area. Is it applicable to set up a similar museum in Shanghai which can boost a regional community building? To help readers understand whether the system and mode of operation is applicable to Shanghai and how, and find out what is feasible and what is not possible, respectively, because of what? At the same time, I would like to know what the difference between two countries ‘ policies and national conditions differ from the requirements of non-profit organizations.
Final products: What type of project is this? What will the final products including your research paper and presentation, and (optional) additional products such as a website, podcast, or written play?
Final Project: A temporary website of the organization in Shanghai which can help to boost the social justice and community building via promote the development of humanities and arts.

I inspired by applied research class last quarter. After I visited and learned about the Wing Luke Museum, I think this nonprofit organization is very helpful in promoting community building. Also, I really interested in whether this mode of operation is applicable to Shanghai? And how? What should I write into the business plan of founding a non-profit organization related promoting social justice in Shanghai, my home town.
I inspired also by my friends who worked in non-profit in Chinatown area. We have talked about the various events held in the C-ID area and the participation of the community residents, which is far beyond my imagination. I’d like to go further and learn more about their marketing methods and how to motivate the residents.
How are you situating your Summary Project within that literature? Are you extending it, building upon it, critiquing it, and/or otherwise engaging with those sources?
METHODS (at least 300 words)
This section articulates your methodological approach. Central questions you should answer include: how are you collecting data? How are you analyzing data? As you write this section, attend to the following questions:
What models of research do you admire? You are welcome to cite specific texts and approaches.
