Problem Paper: Biblical Worldview Assignment Instructions
CJUS542 Biblical Worldview Assignment Paper
Overview
Research is the essence of scholarly discourse. The graduate student should, at a minimum, be given to critical thought in a way that exposes gaps in the literature and offers new insight to more improved methodologies and policymaking. For this course of study, you should identify critically apparent flaws in current cybercrime policymaking and offer improved pathways to digital intelligence, enforcement, crime reduction and prevention.
Once a problem is identified, it must be grounded spiritually. In order to arrive at a sound position, you should offer your findings postured in salt and light. Specifically, it is important that you make the distinction of where and on what grounds the Cyber Crime Law and Public Policy literature comes up short as it relates to what the research in this particular area has for society versus what God in His Word has for society. You also must demonstrate how one might integrate their biblical worldview into this specific scenario.

Problem Scenario:
You are the sergeant supervising the Cybercrime Unit at the Atlanta Police Department in Atlanta, Georgia. A uniform patrol sergeant has called you to relay the following:
His patrol officer responded to a local WalMart on a child pornography case. When the patrol officer arrived, a WalMart employee told her that a large white male in his late 40s or early 50s left his iPad at the checkout stand while he was paying for his items. The employee didnt notice the iPad until the man left the store. When the employee searched the iPad to determine ownership, he not only learned the name of the likely owner but also noticed images of pre-pubescent children posed in sexualized situations. He immediately notified his supervisor who immediately called police. The WalMart supervisor, as well as other employees, viewed the images and unanimously agree that the children in the images are all pre-pubescent minors. The responding officer did a name search on the name given her by the WalMart employee and learned that the name found in the iPad belongs to a local attorney who is a white male in his early 50s. The officer learned of this persons name during a Google search associated with a website listing the male as legal counsel for one of the largest Southern Baptist churches in the Atlanta region. While the patrol officer is calling her supervisor, the white male attorney returns to the Walmart to retrieve his iPad. Upon contact with the patrol officer, he only acknowledges that he is the sole owner of the iPad, that he uses it only for work, and then says nothing else. The iPad is on and has 10% battery power remaining.
As the supervisor of the Cybercrime Unit, discuss all of the issues to this point and then direct, explain, and discuss any further issues that will or potentially may arise as a result of your direction in this matter.
