Business Reporting and Visual Analytics
My requirement
Graded Discussion: Business Reporting and Visual Analytics
Create a new thread and address the following discussion question.
For any organization or business, people within these environments will have to make decisions. These decisions are important because they:
- Offer more information and knowledge to tackle problems
- Offer more diversity and or alternatives
- Offer groups of people opportunity to combine knowledge and information enhancing the quality of decisions.
- Offer more opportunity for the acceptance of decisions when combined collaboratively.
When knowing this, people within an organization will have access to a variety of tools which will be used to support these decisions. In these cases, why would data based analytic reports need to include visualizations, like charts, in efforts to enhance the decision-making process.

Reference purpose. It should be related to some IT subject.
Presenting big data or raw data to an audience can be a daunting task as you aim to drive your message home. Using visualization tools like charts and graphs break down the raw data and streamline into smaller bits that can be easily understood (Sarah, 2018). Well-organized visualization tools separated the story from chaffs and only highlight the most important to your audience. Before you present your data using various tools, it is important to note that most visual tools summarize the whole story in a report in clusters that make sense to your audience, therefore, you should be curious to make sure that your presentation should not be summarized to an extent that erases the meaning out of it.
Another important point as to why visualization tools are crucial in presenting the data-based analytics report is that they save time and help you go through a large topic within a short span of time. Practically, reading through your data analytics report to your audience would make no sense (Sarah, 2018). Visual tools like charts make your presentation distinctive as people are most identifies with colors and figures. For instance, it is easy to explain different animal migration demographics using figures and different colors using just words. Tables and graphs can also be used in comparing and contrasting different entries in data analytics reports.
