This week you will be required to submit literature for your chosen product-Tropicana healthy heart. Peer reviewed literature is the standard method to assess scientific validity.

What to look for this week?
- First, look at the manufacturers’ claims. What do they claim their product does? Does it sound plausible?
- Next, find publications on chosen subject (if they exist). Search PubMed, not Google scholar. Are these publications peer-reviewed? Who wrote these pieces? Are they opinions or facts? What is the standing of the journal where publications appeared? If any studies exist, who paid (sponsored) them?
- Finally, sometimes manufactures’ claims go too far. Can you find any evidence of legal action in regards to the product?
